Ditto DateFormat: How to get Ordinal to work?

On Ditto Dateformat - how do you get ordinal to work (IE: 3rd 1st 4th, etc)?

There is no call for it on:

Neither is there any reference on php.net on the strftime page;
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.strftime.php

However, there is a custom phx:ordinal function, but I don’t know how to call it within the dateFormat call?

So, how do you get Ordinal to work with Ditto DateFormat?

I just use mySQL... something like
FROM_UNIXTIME(editedon, ’%D %M %Y [%H%:%i:%s]’) AS myDate
