Tagging Blog/News Problem

Seems I have missed something very basic or the wiki? have followed all the steps but am not getting it to work!
In a fresh install of modx 9.6.1 i tried to have ditto for tagging the blog entries.
Followed all the steps here: http://wiki.modxcms.com/index.php/Category_Tagging_with_Ditto
- Have made a new TV named just like the one wiki said so!
- Made a ’blogs’ called container page with a child document tagged to ’bar1’ and ’Art Books&Music’
- Enabled delimiter
- Made a ’world’ named container parent along with ’city’ ’bar1’ ’bar2’ ’Art Books&music’ childs
- Entered the following code to ’world’ page


-entered the following code to ’city’ page


- Added ’tv’ before the TV name as wiki suggests
- Attached screenshot of document tree for some of you guys if i have made some stupid mistakes?

One thing make me confuse is a relation of ’blogs’ document with ’world’ and its childs?

What version of Ditto are you using? I’d suggest going to http://ditto.modxcms.com/ and looking at the tagging screencast there (and grabbing the latest development version from Mark’s site).

The screencast is easy to follow and has the most up-to-date method. I also suggest looking at the demo site blog section, it has tagging enabled and is the starting point to the screencast.

I am not sure, but I don’t think that the method in the wiki post is very clear.

im using ditto carried with modx 9.6.1 official release so it is Ditto - 2.0.2 i think as it is mentioned in the snippets section.

i used to follow wiki, documentation, and the demo installation snippets, chunks, TV’s but they all are presenting a widely different solutions and it makes me confuse and amazed at the same time that modx does similar task in various ways.

I followed the screen cast, and it’s working great! I would like to add one little feature. I would like to be able to edit the tags via the front end.
Here is my setup:

Basic Blogging system, working perfect.

Add blog entry page uses NewsPublisher

Tags are in a TV named ’tags’.
chunk used for blog output template displays tags correctly.

How do I set it up so the tags can be edited in the same form that the blog is entered in? (newspublisher call)
I’m thinking I add something to the FormBlog chunk, but I don’t know what to add, or how to set up the TV.

I’m using the latest version of everything.

NewsPublisher snippet can only create new documents.
It can not edit them.
Use FDM for editing.

please forgive my ineptitude, but I couldn’t find FDM on the site for download.

Maybe I don’t need to directly edit the TV; Is there any way to populate a TV from the front end?

By using e.g. longtitle or other » doc tv as &tagData you can make tags front-end in newspublisher.

I have another question:  How do I add another field to the Newspublisher form that will edit a TV, just like the content, or introtext field?

Edit: figured it out, using the description to hold a comma delimited list of tags.
