Confused with how to set up a tagging system...

Is there a complete documentation on how to set this up? The screencast requires that you already have most of it set up, and the small stuff I can find on the Wiki seems to be for an older version.

All I’m wanting is for Ditto to list the tags available, and on the "output" page, list the names of those pages + the description entered in for them when I created the page.

The current documentation seems geared towards more "hardcore" developers. While I would love to get to that level, I don’t have nearly enough time to spend wrapping my head around the techy stuff.

I found it helpfull to use the demo site as a starting point for the screencast (I think that is what it is based on).

Basically you need a TV to store the tags. Then you need to alter the ditto call to include the &tagData=`tagTVname` to determine where to get the tags (you can also determine the delimiter for the tags if not using a comma &tagDelimiter) and then add &tagDocumentID to show where to display the tags. Then you need to create a new document to display the tagged info and on that page you need to identify the &tagData and any other ditto personalization for that particular page.

One cool feature is that the tagdata can come from any document variable which means that you can do some creative tagging.

Nah, I just installed the script last night.

And for the other post...I’ll read through it more once I’ve woken up a little bit more.

Make sure there are enough artciles with tags to get started. Basically, create a TV (call it, oh, ’tags’ for example), and make sure to populate that data. The screencast does a pretty good job actually but you may have to watch/pause it a few times.
