Custom order

Hi,

After reading trough a lot of Ditto posts and documentation I havn’t found any solution to the following problem, so maybe it’s just not possible. In that case I would also appreciate alternative solutions

For one of my websites I want to have Ditto order a list in a custom way (most important articles always on top)
but since someone else will be creating new articles (that might be important) I would like to find some way to have him order the output of the list.

If this is possible, can it be done frontend?

First time working with ModX, so sorry if I missed something.

1. Create a text template variable called importance which is available on your template
2. Assign a value to each article representative of its importance. Thus, the most important article could have the value 100 and the least 0.
3. Append &sortBy=`importance` to your Ditto 2.0 or later call.
