Got a Reflect/Ditto problem

Hello MODx-Users,

Got a blog running and want to show a reflect-archive listing in my sidebar. It runs fine with that code:

[!Reflect? &config=`wordpress` &id=`wp` &getDocuments=`1` &dittoSnippetParameters=`parents:1|depth:3`
&targetID=`10` &dateSource=`pub_date` &showItems=`0` &groupByYears=`0`
&yearSortDir=`desc` &monthSortDir=`desc` &tplMonth=`reflect_month_tpl`!]

At the moment it shows october and november 2007. But when i select a month the following archivepage is show with ALL blogarticles

I do not see the bug!

Had it once running, but now it is broken. One other bad thing (when it works) is that Reflect ignores the pub_date as dateSource. Known bug?

Ditto would need to be uncached for this to work.

hi mark,

that does not solve the problem, furthermore it crashes the maxigallery an taglinks.

the archive page is uncached.

You seem to be missing &dateSource=`pub_date` in the Ditto call.

unfortunately it does not solve the problem. i tried to delete some other stuff i thought it could interference with the dittocall. but no chance.

still do not see a problem in my code. i think it is a bug.

i am using ditto 2.0.3, reflect 1.0.2 and modx 0.9.6.1

perhaps it helps if you see the link that reflect provides:

EDIT: i see the problem. reflect builds XHTML valid urls. when disabled in the preferences of modx, everything works like a charm. so how can i use those nice valid urls with ditto and reflect?

A few things:
1. What do you mean by "furthermore it crashes the maxigallery an taglinks"?
2. Does the same issue occur with Ditto 2.1b3?

point 1: was my fault.
point 2: did not check it. should run a copy of the site and test ditto 2.1b3 -> will tell you the results

but the main question is in »reply #4«

reflect archive does not work when xhtml valid urls is turned on in the modx preferences. or am i wrong? when i enable them the whole archive thing does not work anymore. turned off -> working!

i will test it as i mentioned before with a copy of my website and ditto 2.1b3. perhaps reflect archives and ditto will work with the valid urls

I am pretty sure the xHTML issue has been fixed in the 2.1 betas for some time.

fantastic! so i will jump on ditto 2.1 when it is released (doing some localhost tests before if everything is fine)
