Disable QuickEdit Links when not logged into manager, how?

Hi all

I’m using [*#templatevar*] syntax to enable quickedit for ditto generated content.
It all works fine, but when i log out of the manager, the quickedit-links on the pages remain. Is this a caching issue? I’d prefer to not switch caching off... should i just load a "non-manager" css that hides the quickedit links? Or is there a better solution?

Have you tried clearing the cache once to see if that helps. It did for me when I had that problem.

Yes, that helps. But whenever i change something using QuickEdit, i revert to the old state. Eg. the problem is back.

This is strange... maybe check the plugin execution order to see if this is not a parsing issue ? Go in Resources > Manage Resources you have a link : "Edit Plugin Execution Order by Event". Maybe there is something there...

QuickEdit and SearchHighlighting are sharing the same Event. Changing the Order doesn’t seem to change anything regarding the QuickEdit Links.
I think it’s rather a caching issue. Currently i use the cacheable way of calling Ditto with [[Ditto ...]]. Using [!Ditto ...!] solves the Problem, but i wonder if this might turn into a performance issue when used on a highly frequented site?
