Problem with TAGGING by Multi-Select TV

Hello,

I’d like to "tag" pages within a limited set of tags. Therefore I created a multi-select TV with the following values:

Ulotki==Ulotki||Foldery==Foldery||Katalogi==Katalogi||Okładki==Okładki

For the specific test page I’ve selected the first and the third value (Ulotki and Katalogi). In the database I can see the following value:

Ulotki||Katalogi

which is what I expected (in the site_tmplvar_contentvalues table).

I’ve created a Ditto call with the following parameters:



As You can see I want to see all pages tagged with "Ulotki".

The problem is that I don’t get any values. I turned on debug console and on the Prefetch tab I can see that:


Why these "||" characters are replaced from the value of my TV (Kategoria2)? I can’t separate those values to "Ulotki" and "Katalogi".
And I have to use "||" while defining the Multi-select options.

What is the solution for such problem?

I think that you need to set the display widget to delimited list to isolate the values. This works for me.

[update] sounds dev_cw beats me to it. But he is right!

You need to select widget, Delimited List and use comma "," in the Delimiter.

Moreover, you dont have to use:

Ulotki==Ulotki||Foldery==Foldery||Katalogi==Katalogi||Okładki==Okładki

this will work too:

Ulotki||Foldery||Katalogi||Okładki

worked for me too, but not exactly how i wanted

if i set widget delimiter "," words look like
if i set it ", " and ditto delimiter the same tags look ok, but they are not separated - i get one long link "tag1,tag2,tag3"

The widget delimiter and the tagDelimiter need to be the same. To change the display use the tagDisplayDelimiter parameter in your ditto call and set it to whatever you want.

TV has some strange caching - i set it to ", " but after saving it seems to be not working
I click edit it again - and see that it has old value ","

The delimiter may have a trim that removes the empty space, I am not sure. In any case you could use the ’,’ as the TV delimiter as well as the tagDelimiter and use the &tagDisplayDelimiter to display the ’, ’. This should work.
