I am making a ’first-letter-sorted’ ditto output. I would like to split the output by halves and put the halves into different containers.
Normally, when I know the exact number of the output docs I can make two ditto calls, each with its own &start parameter. What do I do when I dont know the number of the output docs? I could make a PHx modifier that would split the total count and put it into &start parameter, but first I need some sort of ditto count placeholder.
Is this my fantasy?:) Or is there some way to achieve splitting the output?
UPD: I guess it has something to do with &save parameter. Or &placeholders, but how do I use them?
