Help with sample blog PLEASE!

Hello!
I’m very new to Modx and I’m just learning it. I installed sample content and have a problem with sample blog. I didn’t change anything in code.
When I log in as siteadmin and post new blog entry it does not appear in list at "main" blog page (id 2). I tried to refresh page and checked it in IE and Firefox. But when I log in manager as administrator I can see entry I posted, then if I save blog page -id 2 (without making any changes) and go back to site and refresh page the entry is there.
Am I doing something wrong? PLEASE help!

Is it marked as published? When you’re logged into the manager you can see unpublished documents FYI.

Ryan, thank you for reply. Yes, the new page with blog entry is published and after clicking "Blog it!" I am forwarded to the page with this new entry. But I just don’t see it at main blog page (id 2).

Try this...

On the left side,in the modx admin(where all your files are)
1. open up your blog folder(page,file..call it as you like ) you should see your post there as a separate file ( page...)
2. right-click on that file and click publish ( nevermind if its already published }
3. then refresh whole page, if you’re on Firefox hold shift and then hit refresh, if IE7 hold ctrl+F5
4. repeat step 2 once more..;)

I’ve noticed that sometimes blog can act a bit strange regarding new posts, I didn’t have any problems since I did this in site config. Here’s what I did...

Go to -> Tools -> Configuration , then scroll almost to the bottom and find, Published default, select Yes, and
Cacheable default, select No....

Maybe there was something I did later,but I dont remember

I’m also using DTD Xhtml 1.0 Strict, but really dunno if it matters anyway....

Thanks for reply! I tried all you said without success Then I added &clearcache=`1` to NewsPublisher call as I found somewhere on the forum and now everything works.
