user defined sorting

Heyho!

Is it possible to let ditto (2.0.2) sort the output by the values of a snippet call result? I am using MODx 0.9.6.

I want to sort output by a date given in a TV. The format of that TV is the standard format for date, that means that the values are stored in the database like "Thursday 29, November 2007". I cant’t change this to UNIX timestamp because another snippet (CALx) needs the date in this format.

So my attempt now is to convert the long form to a timestamp and let ditto sort the output by this converted value.

Is this possible? I found the tutorial in this forum but it says "use the unix timestamp widget" what I can’t for the reasons above.

Okay, meanwhile I have found the 2.1.BETA wich makes user definded sorting possible. But I have not found any description about that until now. Has anyone made any experience with that already?
