Trying on and off to find a workaround for a problem I’ve been having.
Folder structure like this:
* 20070830
** Content A
** Content B
** Content C
* 20070831
** Content D
** Content E
** Content F
** Content G
* 20070931
** Content H
** Content I
What I need to accomplish is to get Ditto’s pagination to respect parents rather than documents. So page 1 would be all the content from a single folder, and the pagination links to other pages progress by folder/parent. Make sense? So the first Ditto pagination page would show 20070830, then the next pagination link would display all the docs inside 20070831, etc.
Similarly, I’d love to get Ditto to be able to pull all the documents from the specified parents. Sometimes it’d be 4, sometimes 6 or 8, so the display parameter doesn’t cut it. This is doable with a snippet to return the IDs of whatever parents I want (2 most recent folders, for example), but this hack won’t work for pagination.
Any thoughts? I’d rather not hack Ditto, but I can’t think of a way to accomplish this without a hack.
