[+tagLinks+] - Nothing Outputted in RSS

    I’ve been following the custom RSS feed example in the Ditto docs.

    <item>
	<title>[+rss_pagetitle+]</title>
	<link>[(site_url)][~[+id+]~]</link>
	<pubDate>[+rss_date+]</pubDate>
	<guid isPermaLink="false">[(site_url)][~[+id+]~]</guid>
	<dc:creator>[(site_name)]</dc:creator>
[+tagLinks+]
	<description><![CDATA[ [+introtext+] ]]></description>

    However, nothing is seemingly returned within the RSS feed:

  <title>HIPs (Home Information Packs) on 3-Bed Homes</title>

    I was hoping to return each tag within a <category>tag</category>

    I’m assuming that is the purpose of [+tagLinks+]?

    Oh yeah... using:

    ModX: v0.9.6
    Ditto: v2.0.2

      In the RSS format, tagLinks will return a <category> element for each tag.

      1. Do you have tagData set?
      2. Try upgrading to Ditto 2.1 Beta 2

        I’ve just installed Ditto 2.1 beta (literally) and here are my (very much) first observation(s):

        - Still no <category> output in RSS

        - Additionally, the first few lines of the RSS output are now missing/incomplete:

        <?xml version="1.0" encoding="" ?> 
- <rss version="2.0" xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">
- <channel>
  <title>Energy Performance Certificates</title> 
  <link /> 
  <description /> 
  <language /> 
  <copyright /> 
  <ttl />


        I’ll check out your tagData suggestion (can’t remember if I set it ATM).

          <category> does indeed work with tagData set!

          Will look at remaining issue noted above now.

            OK, sorry about this, I didn’t notice it when when I made my reply #2 (above)...

            If you look carefully at the first line:

            <?xml version="1.0" encoding="" ?>


            ... you’ll see the missing Charset (which is set as UTF-8 in the call)

            So it is not being parsed at all (The only reason I witnessed the pasted result in the earlier posting is because I only hit refresh - When I closed the page and re-opened, that’s when I stumbled upon this error).

              Did you install Beta 1 or Beta 2? Beta 1 had this issue if I recall.

                      OK, the RSS header is now back to normal - <category> however:

                       <category>dea</category> 
  , 
  <category>epc-panels</category> 
  , 
  <category>sp-property</category> 
  ,


                      First observation, of course. Will check my end.
