summary extender does not exist

I’m using ditto version 2.0.2
and modx 0.9.2.1 (rev 1005)
When trying to include the summary extender in the ditto snippet call I get the message
summary extender does not exist please check it

I’ve checked and the summary.extender.inc.php file is there in
assets/snippets/ditto/extenders

also note that the other extenders give the same message, could this be a bug or am I not doing something correctly?

apologies if silly question and for duplicate thread I didn’t realise there was a ditto specific area until now.

*edit* I can include the summary extender by using the following full path syntax
extenders=’@FILE$/assets/snippets/ditto/extenders/summary.extender.inc.php’
however the [+summary+] place holder in the chunk doesn’t offer a truncated content output i.e. it doesn’t return anything...

*edit2* After advice I’ve upgraded to 0.9.6 modx and this has solved the issue of the summary extender not being found.
I still haven’t managed to get summary text truncated from content.

You seem to be missing the & in front of extenders in your snippet call .

Thanks mark my mistake however fixing this is giving the original error(s) (which shows when the snippet call includes the &extenders)

any ideas on what may prevent the extender from being found?
I’ve checked the snippet extender permisions which are 666 and that they’re in the correct location.

there are erros in your snippet call

=> Use backticks `` instead of single quotes ’’

or
=>same errors here
[[Ditto? &tpl=`DittoTemplate` &startID=`72` &summarize=`3` &truncLen=’300’ &extenders=’summary’]]

and about the path for the extenders file, I guess the syntax is &extenders=`@FILE:my_path`

simple error I need to get my eyes tested

I’m now as far as including the summary extender and setting the truncation length for items with no introtext
really nice that the community has been OK with a bit of hand holding while I get used to these chunks snippets plugins and other Modx stuff, I’m feeling a little more hopeful about my project...
