I set up a blog using Ditto, and now the client has told me that they want people to subscribe to the blog and be able to receive new posts via email. I talked to them about RSS, but they insist on having email. Does Ditto or some other snippet handle this? If not, does anyone use a service (preferably free) to do this?

Feedburner offers an excellent email subscription service. You just create a Ditto RSS feed and then let Feedburner do the rest. There are many other companies that provide a similar service, another being RSSFwd.
