Show folders/containers differently using Ditto?

Hi,

I have a tree of links in MODx, stored like:


I can get Ditto to render this as an unordered list, however is there any way to get the pages with the ’containers’ attribute checked to be rendered differently (ie use a different template)?

Another case where I want to do this is with a resource browser. Instead of showing all on one page (as above) I want to distinguish the sub-categories from the documents. I can do this with two separate calls to Ditto, but is there a more optimal way?

Wayfinder can do this in a snap. You can set templates for all the levels individually if needed.

Thanks, for some reason I had it in my head Ditto was for content and Wayfinder for menus, and that shouldn’t be crossed over

If it works, use it. MODx doesn’t really force any restrictions, and there’s typically 3-4 ways to get to the same end result.
