Is it possible for Ditto to realize that an item it finds is a weblink and use a different template instead of the standard one?
The reason why I ask is becuase i have a container with both unique documents and weblinks. These weblinks link to other documents of the site. Therefore I would like to get the doc id that the weblink is pointing to and use tv, etc from that document to display in the ditto results.

No, it is not currently possible. You can, however, work around this by using PHx conditionals in a single template. Take a look at the PHx documentation for some examples.
