TV in Ditto call inside chunk

Great job you chaps are doing - I’m still practising with this so bear with me if I’m asking the obvious.

Is it possible to put a Template Variable inside a Ditto call and then put the ditto call in a chunk? The idea being that I could place the chunk in a page or master template and be able to choose which document(s) is called.

So it would look something like:

&startID=`[*chooseanumber*]`

If it is possible what would happen if I didn’t want to show any results on a particular page? Would I still be able to call multiple documents using commas?

Yes, that should be possible. If you don’t want to show any results either enter a false number (say 9999999) or no number at all. You would still be able to call multiple documents using commas.

Also, &startID is deprecated in Ditto 2. Please use &parents with it instead.

is it possible ditto using document-specific values as parameter? i cannot get this to work

You need to use [*id*] as the snippet is not parsing the chunk, the MODx parser is.
