I experienced the same problem and it went away on its own just as you describe.

I have always had that problem, ever since my very first 0.6 installation, using the Firefox 1.0RC
It seems like this is still a problem that has not been fixed, even when using the newest versions of both MODx and Firefox. Any chance it will be resolved in the next release?
I have had the same problem, running FF 1.5 RC and Opera 8.5, windows. (my mistake, working fine in Opera)
I searched the forums today looking for a "refresh after saving" problem but didn’t find anything... I can see now that I am not the only one.
This is annoying at times I just close my browser and re-open it, clicking Home does not always work or I am not fast enough... No way I’ll use IE6, and the backend layout is broken in Opera...

There’s an easier solution than the Home button... just click in your browser’s address bar and hit enter. It will take you to the screen you see right after you login (the main manager screen). Works every time that I’ve tried it, but still annoying that you have to do it.
@afkuz : thanks for the tip
@Adam: It’s not critical but yeah it’s d*mn annoying :p And most certainly should be fixed for 1.0. Can’t help, since I am no coder so thanks for taking a look at it !

I have this problem too. It’s probably an easy fix so I’ll look into it and see what I can do. I know this has been around for a while and it really needs to be fixed for 1.0.
