A Rookie Question About Ditto

Hello:

I’ve read the documentation and tried to set up Ditto to work in the template without much success.

I’m trying to keep it simple, so here’s the call



I just upgraded to Ditto 2.0 by installing all files and cutting and pasting the php document.

#5 is the folder for News Items I want displayed there.

I’m using MODx 0.9.5.

Am I missing something?

In Ditto 2 its slightly different, it uses &parents now, e.g.

http://ditto.modxcms.com/files/snippet-ditto-php.html#parents

... and be sure to use "back ticks", not the "single quotes" for snippet parameters.

Changed it to parents, still nothing. I used "back ticks" too. I have a sample news item loaded as a child of the parent folder as well. Still nothing.

No clue then, you may try adding &debug=`1` to snippet call and see what debug information it gives.

No debug information whatsoever. It’s like a template doesn’t even see it’s there. I know it’s my error, I’m just trying to find what it is...

I also had the minimal version of MODx set up...

I had a problem with Ditto installation. The folder permissions weren’t set right...
