SOLVED: A getParent-call inside a Ditto-call? (Or: how to get the parent-ID?)

I tried this: but it did’nt work.

What I try to do is to show a full article (in this case on the left side), and then, on the same side, show a list with the rest of the articles in the same parent-category.

I’ve tried other versions of getParent, UltimateParent and so on, but with no luck.

Can someone please help?

You can’t have nested uncached calls. Try making the outer one cached, or vice-versa.

I noticed that simply installing PHx Plugin allows me to have calls like that

[[Wayfinder? &startId=`[[IdLanguageMapper? &key=`beodom` &language=`[*language*]`]]` ...]]

while without PHx plugin I could not get it work. And regardless of alterning cached/uncached calls.

Note that Wayfinder in my example could be ditto or whatever else.

Note that in your particular case, wouldn’t it be enough just to use
[*parent*]
to get the parent id of the page on which you make the call :

[!Ditto? &tpl=`other-list` &showInMenuOnly=`1` &parents=`[*parent*]` ...!]

So simple and easy. This was the sollution: [!Ditto? &tpl=`other-list` &showInMenuOnly=`1` &parents=`[*parent*]` ...!]
