Use the [*introtext*] variable in your ditto template where you would like the summary to appear.

That the field in the document editor calls it "Summary", while in the database the actual field name is "introtext", so that’s how it has to be processed in snippets and such, has long been an irritation. It was my idea to at least put (introtext) in the caption for that field when editing a document to try to help mitigate the confusion (well, actually, I kept forgetting what it was called and having to load up the database to take a look). But this is another legacy issue from the original code; I hope that eventually the difference will go away altogether.
