Tagging screencast, Ditto 2.0.1: no tag output

Hi,

thanks a lot for the screencast! I’ve got problems successfully finishing the tagging.

I have the set-up principally ready, the instructions were easy to follow, but I don’t get any tags to show up. I noticed that your Ditto call was different to the one in the example blog in MODx 0.9.5, so I copied the call and modified it to match yours in the screencast.

As a side-note, that reveals a basic issue i’m having with the documentation of Ditto version 2: there’s a long list of parametres, but no example call as in the documentation for version 1 (at least I was unable to find examples in Ditto 2 documentation). There seem to be changes, e.g. the original Ditto call used &startID while the new call uses &parents.. I’m a bit confused.

--> using &extenders=’summary’ outputs a message saying that no such extender could be found; I checked the extenders folder and the inc is there though.

--> Without the summary extender call I get "No documents found" although I do have documents using tags and I used the correct parent’s id, too.

I attached the debug output for the specific page, please rename to .html as this extension is not allowed for uploads.

I saw the output of the templates tab "<p>&tpl either does not contain any placeholders or is an invalid chunk name, code
block, or filename. Please check it.</p>" and double-checked the name and contents of nl_blog (which is the sample nl_blog from the MODx install. I couldn’t find any mistakes.

Any idea what the cause may be?

Your using ’ instead of ` in the second Ditto call (which is the correct one).

As far as the ` goes, what’s the difference between ` and ’ in this case (except for the fact that it won’t work with ’)?

Thanks for the hint regarding the example calls as well.

You pretty much summed it up: ’ doesn’t work with the parser for snippet parameters
