I have a couple of articles, all of them featuring Maxigallery. I want the parent document, that contains the Ditto call and summarizes those articles to output in each summary the corresponding pics.

I’ve tried to put the Maxigallery call in the Ditto template chunk but the output is raw text. How can I achieve the desired effect?

      Alternate cached and uncached calls.

          Hi Serban,

I’d like to achieve something similar. Does this mean you have a call to maxigallery in each article and then another one in the tpl chunk for ditto ? I’m having a hard time getting this right. Thanks in advance for the advice.

That’s right, I have a call to Maxigallery in each article and then another one in the tpl chunk for Ditto. The call contained in the chunk must have the parameter "&view_gallery=`[+id+]`" so that Maxigallery will display the pics corresponding to the document Ditto is summarizing.

It does work perfectly, but when launching one of the galleries (I use the lightbox), all the other galleries become browsable. Any clue for a workaround ?

Have you tried other embedtype? Is your structure similar to something like:

                  • One document (container) with the Ditto call and the Maxigallery call inside the Ditto chunk tpl
                  • Lets say 3 child documents, each containing a gallery

all pics from the page will be in the same picture set because lightbox simply gathers all pics that have the same rel attribute value. Add &galleryPictureTpl=’@CODE:tplcode’ to your snippet call where tplcode is the code for lightbox from default template and replace rel="lightbox[maxigallery]" with rel="lightbox[+id+]" and each gallery will open in its own lightbox picture set

                      Hi,
Yes Serban that’s my structure, and I didn’t try other embeddings.
But thanks to Doze, here’s the solution. By the way THANK YOU Doze for this terrific snippet grin
