    Hi
I have been using Modx for a while but never really learned the possibilities with Ditto

My question is how can a build a front page with the four latest news placing them in 4 blocks horizontally.
When news gets published it will be available in an date archive

What I have read I must use the reflect snippet.

I’m not looking for a copy paste solution because I will never learn the capabilities of this snippet

but rather a guidance on how to set this up

    thanks in advance

can you let me know if you were able to solve this? I would like some direction on how to do something like a news feature.

For the front page news blocks, simply use a standard Ditto call, limited to the 4 latest items, and use a template that provides the containers necessary to position them with CSS. Or you can use a table if you like; your template would set up the four <td> elements; the Ditto call would come between the <table><tr>...</tr></table> tags.

As far as the Reflect snippet; I’m not able to say since I’ve never had occasion to use it.
