Modx & Flash basics

Very basic question, sorry if it sounds appalling
I have built microsites in Flash and CMS sites but i have never built a flash site that pulls the data from the cms. How to proceed? Do I embed swf into the cms templates or pull the data and assets from a separate folder into a swf on a different html page? Are there any tutorials or books around so i could teach myself?

However the flash needs to get its data, MODx can supply the data. I’ve never worked with Flash myself, but a I understand it, Flash applications can use xml files. You can create all the xml files you need using the usual snippets; instead of using HTML in the tpls use xml syntax. Even the page itself can be generated as an xml type.
