Trouble with ÅÄÖ in [+link+]

Hi!

I am, as you know, using ditto v.1.1 and I am having trouble using foreign letters (å ä ö) in the &truncText=`Läs Mer` shows only, ’L’ in the document.

if I lets say using: &truncText=`Let this be Ö day` it would show: Let this be
in the document

I am using iso-8859-1
Swedish
modX 0.9.5 beta 2
php 4.3.1
mysql 5.0

any ideas would be nice? or if it is possible to come around it somehow?
