Has anyone run across the situation where the site is being served in a frame? I’ve never seen this before. I’ve looked over the site’s single template, as well as the index.php file and the config file but haven’t found anything unusual. The manager appears to be just fine. This is a 1.0.2 installation on what appears to be a standard CPanel hosting solution.

I’ve had a customer some years ago where their IT manager did it for a website because they wanted to save money for the installation of a CMS.
Then they pulled the pages from another domain.
They were blacklisted by the search robots for hijacking of the pages ... ;-)
So, be careful to do it, if the pages are coming from another domain!

But I’ve seen that a domain registrar did it, but don’t know how.

Well, neither I nor the person who "inherited" the site have a clue. She’s talking to her hosting provider’s tech support about it.

Sometimes a hacked site will iframe another. Are you sure your site hasn’t been compromised somehow?

Don’t know yet. Turns out both sites involved (two installations of MODx on the same hosting service) have the issue; both are still listed as using the domain registrar’s DNS servers instead of that of the hosting service (a standard CPanel service). So it’s beginning to look to me like this is coming from the domain registrar’s parking service; I haven’t gotten access to that yet. I suspect that the registrar’s parking page was made into a frame, rather than changing the DNS servers.

Hosting is with WestHost; registrar is Ascio.

I’m not touching anything on the sites until the DNS issue is fixed. If this is handled in so sloppy a manner, what else is done badly?
