Ditto 1.0.1

I actually do not use the makeurl function. I let the document parser handle it by using [~[+id+]~] for generating URLS. What bugsmi0 is talking about is using ?q= with pagination, which I did fix in 1.0.2 (not released yet).

Looks like there’s a minor error in assets/snippets/ditto/lang/language.inc.php :


should be


ie there’s an errant ’ (single quote) between a href=" and [~
which makes all the archive links not work (eg domain.co.uk/’pagename.html)

This was noted and fixed in another thread.

Apologies. I did search, I read both official Ditto 1.0.1 threads, and I searched for a number of pertinent phrases, but until today I had not realised that the forum search facility ignores anything within code brackets.

Hello folks,

I’m using Ditto instead of NewsListing and the web page show me this error when I display it :

"Parse error: parse error, unexpected $end in D:\web\modx\manager\includes\document.parser.class.inc.php(705) : eval()’d code on line 448"

I’m using Ditto 1.0.1, Modx 0.9 rev 1005 on a LAMP configuration. I’m calling the snippet like this in the general template :

<div>[[Ditto? &startID=`50`]] </div>

The same error occurs when I call the snippet with [!...!]

Do someone get the same error and can U tell me where I did it wrong ?

Check the very beginning of the snippet’s code; it may have a <?php tag that needs to be removed. Sometimes snippets come with that tag so that syntax-coloring editors will recognize the file and color-code it accordingly.
