Im looking forward to a real solution but for now it works with my site and my news.
You are right that it removes all characters that RSS readers dont like but when i write news in my language it freaks out if i dont remove the htmlentities line.
I really hope that we can find a solution that works eighter way.
I have now testet my rss feed and it works fine with quotes and question marks. I have testet it on ie 7.0 rss feedreader, ff 1.5 rss feedreader and finally google reader.
Im not saying that the solution i came up with works on every rss reader but it looks like i can use this solution on my site.
Is there something that i should worry about ?
For those of us limited to speaking languages that are within the ASCII charset, could you please copy and paste a sample story that has issues with Ditto’s RSS handling so I can further debug this issue. Thanks.
If you visit www.danskbold.dk and click on the rss symbol you’ll see letters like æ ø å. Those letters are not supported by dittos rss in the title.

Here is a sample that doesn’t parse too well in all RSS readers, Mark. Specifically the ™:

Just tested the first string provided and it works fine so long as you have set the proper charset in System Configuration->Character Encoding.
I’m still working on the TM bit.
