Scheduled tasks?

Is there anyway [extra/add on] to ’schedule’ plugins or snippets in modx?
I have a set of TV’s that need to be reset on the first of each month & I can’t do it via a cronjob [ unless I write a shell script - but that’s ugly & not very maintainable ]

any thoughts?

while I’m on the subject, is there a nice easy way to ’reset’ a TV, to it’s default values, this particular one is in about 200 some odd pages...
