When saved from the Filesystem source here's what it puts into the database:
[[{"MIGX_id":"1","image":"assets/images/gear/2300-ash-front.jpg"...]
and the form field itself shows
assets/images/gear/2300-ash-front.jpg
When saved from the restricted Gear source (assets/images/gear/):

I do it the same way.
base_path and base_url: assets/images/
The file-browser opens with 'Filesystem' in the mediasource-dropdown, but shows the images of my folder 'assets/images' under 'Files'
I think this is the way how it works with all image-TVs inside and outside of MIGX
Under Files I get assets, connectors, core, manager. I have to click through to assets/images/gear/ to get a list of the images.
The "Gear" source is available, and if selected immediately displays the images, but it one is selected it only has the filename, and doesn't show anywhere, not even in the MIGx thumbnail.

I have a similar problem with MIGX not understanding media sources -- images do not appear at all in the TV but they do appear correctly in the frontend browser.
Please fix the media sources issue(s) asap and post the new code to the MODx repository.
Buggy code in the repository makes MODx look bad.
Thank you, Tom

I'm sorry, the github-version is working for me.
But if it doesn't for others it doesn't make sence for me to upgrade the repo-version.
I'm also not sure if your issues are related to MIGX, image-TVs, mediasources, the filebrowser or your modx-configurations..........

@Bruno17 -- True, I don't have the same issues as Susan does but I do know that media sources don't work so well with MIGX -- the impression I got is that you didn't have the same issue or you know/knew how to fix them.
I'm using the same code etc. in production that works correctly in dev -- the only difference is the media source specification, which BTW works properly and correctly for TinyMCE, which does properly see and display the images properly. Methinks the issue is in MIGX but I have no idea what/where etc., not being a programmer...
Thank you, Tom
Hey folks. Wondering if we should close this original MIGX thread to new replies? As TomMLS pointed out it's unwieldily and it might make sense to leave it as an archive and if people would like to spawn new conversations they can do so in the MIGX sub-forum. Let me know.

I'll take that as a yes.
