    I am using Modx 2.0.7 and Quip 1.2.4.

    I am trying to get my user extended fields to show up when a user posts a comment. Right now I currently have comments turned off to the general viewer. To post comments you must register on the site. The registration form has one user extended field.

    I have tried to display the user extended field when the user post their comment. The user extended field that I am trying to display is club.

    I have tried these options.

    [[+club]]

    This code works, but it displays the currently signed in user extended field for every user that has posted a comment and I don’t want that.
    [[!Profile]] [[+club]]

    Does anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance.

        OpenGeek,

        Thanks for responding to my inquiry. I tried using

        [[!+club]]

        I get nothing to show up in the users comment.

        What I have done is signed up a dummy account in which I can test this.

        My quip call is
        [[!Quip? &thread=`Sno-Report-[[*pagetitle]]` &threading=`0` &useGravatar=`0` &closeAfter=`0` &tplComments=`comments_container` &sortDir=`DESC` &tplComment=`comment_tpl` ]]
        <br />
        [[!QuipReply? &thread=`Sno-Report-[[*pagetitle]]` &requireAuth=`1` &closeAfter=`0` &tplLoginToComment=`quip_login` &tplAddComment=`add_comment` &tplPreview=`tpl_preview` ]]

        My comment template is
        <div class="quip-comment">
            <p>
                <p class="quiptitle">[[+name]]</p>
                <span>Posted by: [[+authorName]] | [[+createdon]]</span>
            </p>
                <p class="quip-comment-text">[[+body]]</p>
        </div>

        I want to change out [[+name]] to show the user extended field club.

          This sounds like it needs to be asked about in the Quip support thread? I thought you said it was working but always showing the the data of the first person who accesses the page after the cache is cleared. If that’s not the problem, ignore me. I do not know how/if Quip makes the extended fields available.

            OpenGeek,

            I may not have been clear as to what was really happening.

            My first attempt was
            [[!Profile]] [[+club]]

            With the code above if I am not signed into the site the comments don’t display the club at all. If I sign in to the site all the users that have posted comments have the club that was associated with my user extended field and not their own.

            My second attempt was
            [[+club]]

            I got nothing to output

            My third attempt was what you had suggested
            [[!+club]]

            I got nothing to output

            My fourth attempt I tried this and got the same result as my first attempt
            [[!Profile]] [[!+club]]

            I appreciate you help.

              The Profile snippet displays the current, logged-in user’s Profile.

              if you want it to specify a different User, you need to specify so in the Profile snippet call:

              [[!Profile? &user=`usernamegoeshere`]]

                Splittingred,

                Thanks for that. I want to be able to grab user extended fields when a user is posting a comment in quip. Is there a way to access user extended fields with a quip post?

                The user extended field I am trying to access is [[+club]]. I do know that this user extended field has been created for each user.

                I have tried [[+club]], [[!+club]]

                Do you have any suggestions?
