    Hi all.

I installed splittingred GoogleSiteMap via the packagemanager in revo.

I created a blank template and assigned that to a resource. I made sure that the resource wasn’t using tinymce, then I inserted the placeholder
    [[!GoogleSiteMap]]
    .

I tried to visit the resource in my browser, and got the behaviour that I would expect for a 404 error. I checked the directory structure, and indeed there was no sitemap.

I went back to the resource and deselected ’hide from menus’. After that, as expected, ’sitemap.xml’ appearred in the menu. Clicking on it again yielded 404 behavior. Again, there was no file corrosponding to the resource in the file structure.

As usual, I’m probably just missing something small.
    What could be happening here?

I decided to try the same thing, as I know the procedure for Evo.

I got a bit further than you, actually producing a funny-looking page with some XML on it after changing the content type to XML. Very much the same thing that one runs into when you forget to choose {blank} for the template. I tried choosing "Empty" as a template, and was rewarded with a hanging Ajax "updating" thingie. I thought, OK, I’ll cobble together a template containing only "content". Nope, that hung, too. Geez, you can’t change templates sometimes? Freaky!

Back with Evo, I look in the snippet for clues. I went to Package management to see if I could find some notes. Nope.

Oh well, more Revo learning curve, I guess. Mamma mia. smiley Sorry, I don’t know. Maybe somebody else knows.

hmm I can’t see what’s going wrong for you??

        my call
        [[!GoogleSiteMap?
          &allowedtemplates=`6,1`
        ]]

resource template set to -empty- (if you go back to this resource the template will come up as "0")

you should probably set content type to xml but google will accept html

Maybe knowing what versions you are running etc. may help?

Ah! I got mine working. I did some searching, and found that you can’t change templates (and other things) when using CKEditor, you just get "Please Wait..." forever. So I dumped that, and installed Tiny. Now I can actually change templates, which is rather nice.

I’m also getting used to needing to do empty the cache more frequently with Revo, or things don’t "take". And empty cache will apparently not run when your page has a change on it that is not saved. This is good, I guess, but certainly looks strange when nothing happens after trying "Clear Cache". Revo’s arcane and "stimulating" mysteries continue to unfold. smiley

And by gum, after following a link that I found to the RTFM documentation, I managed to scroll down far enough to find that this GoogleSiteMap has lots of parms!
