I need to make a list of upcoming events. All different events are separate resources on my website, but they don’t have any info when they are going to happen on them.

On front page I would like to display a list of next five coming events. I could make template variables for different events where I write the dates and then call them with ditto on the front page , but I don’t know how to organize these events in asc/desc order on the front page and this is not very easily maintained way to go.. and I think there must be better way to do this. I also would be good if modx would automatically not display the events that are already in the past.

So my question really is: How to make easily updated upcoming events list that has the date, event name, and some additional info. Event name, additional info I can pull from TV’s but what would be the best way to go with dates. I know how to use modx, ditto, etc. but I just need someone to point me towards right tools. smiley

    Cheers!

A date TV would be the best way. And use the publish/unpublish feature to take care of showing/hiding events on specific dates.
