How do I display the contents of a folder?

I have files (PDF’s, word doc’s, etc.) in my /assets/files folders.
I have created subdirectories to organize the files.

I am now trying to display them in a list on a page.
I have been looking at Ditto and Wayfinder, but cannot figure out how to do it.

Any ideas?

Use TVs with @DIRECTORY binding. Then use a snippet to organize and display the list of files. Or use one of several file listing snippets http://modxcms.com/extras/repository/packages/file%20management
