    Hi,

The site of Notepad++ that I manage just moved under MODX recently (http://notepad-plus-plus.org/)
I notice that the session table increase dramatically by the anonymous sessions. It makes Notepad++ site have disfunctions while its quotas is reached.
Is there a way to not activate the anonymous session? Or there’s a walk around to flush this table everyday?

    Thank you in advanced,
    Don

You can reduce the session_gc_maxlifetime and session_cookie_lifetime System Settings, though this will also affect manager sessions. Are you using access permissions on the front-end for any part of the site? If not, you could configure a different session handler for the web Context with a much lower session.gc_maxlifetime (based on PHP ini configuration if you want to use the default PHP file-based session handler). You just can’t do that if you use the same session store since any request could trigger the session garbage collection at the lowest setting you have configured.
