    Hi, I’m having some trouble with UserComments.
    I’m using Evolution 1.0.1 and this tool came installed with it.

    Here is my call:

    [!UserComments? &canpost=`Registered Users, Site Admins` &makefolder=`0` &postcss=`comment` &titlecss=`commentTitle` &numbercss=`commentNum` &altrowcss=`commentAlt` &authorcss=`commentAuthor` &ownercss=`commentMe` &sortorder=`0`!]

    The problem is:

    1) Unregistered users are being allowed to post. I don’t mind this, actually, but it is not following the instructions given in the call and I don’t know why.
    2) The bigger problem is that every post is published right away (instead of letting me moderate.) Is there a setting I can use to make the default be "unpublished?"
    3) I would like to know if there is any notification I can get by email when a comment is posted (which I then have to decide whether to publish or not.)

    So to summarize:
    I am okay with anyone posting a comment as long as I can review the comment first before it is published.

    I am also confused because I don’t know the difference between "UserComments" and "Jot." Are they two separate things, or do they work together?

    Any guidance or help? Thank you!

      Found it.

      FormBlogComments was a chunk that uses UserComments. It was actually not the one that was in use. It was just there in the list.

      It was Jot that was in use.

      The call that made it work was:

      <div id="commentsAnchor">
      [!Jot? &customfields=`name,email` &subscribe=`1` &pagination=`4` &badwords=`dotNet` &moderated=`1` &notify=`2` &notifyAuthor=`1` &canmoderate=`Site Admins` !]
      </div>

      Problem solved once I added the blue fields above.

      Very useful wiki page here by the way:
