Creating Contents for like side bars

Is there a way to update the contents via like TinyMCE for like the 1st or 3rd column. (The middle column is usually set for contents. But right now I put in the information in the chunks for update information. But I rather to be able to do this via TinyMCE - is there a documentation somewhere where I can do this?

either use a RichText TV for the sidebar content (you also could use a TV with a @document binding to pull the content from another page), or pull the content via Ditto from other documents of your site

wow - never realized that

I suppose I should say that this may depend on your version of MODx; I’m not sure exactly at what point in the releases this was added.
