Need help/advice with this scenario using ditto (example attached)...

Hi,

I seem to have confused myself setting up some portfolio pages and need some help/advice how to go about implementing the correct way to build this.
I’ve attached an example layout image of how i would like it to work.

Basically I have 3 main options for the portfolio pages, each will generate a page to consist of a left menu (listing the individual projects) and to the right of this I have a large image with the project details.

So far I have created a template for the portfolio page and a folder in the document tree called ‘Portfolio’ this will contain the projects and these are being generated with wayfnder for the left menu (this works just fine).

So...I was thinking that I could create a chunk with the portfolio details and add a ditto call on the main portfolio folder page, but what do I add to the portfolio template for all this to display?

Am I doing this the right way around?
Maybe I will need 3 templates for each portfolio category (some of the info for the details will be slightly different for each portfolio option)?

Your individual portfolio items would each be a document in the Portfolio section. These can be in inner folders as well, if you have three categories of portfolios.

Portfolio
Option 1
Project 1
Project 2
Option 2
Project 3
Project 4
Option 3
Project 5
Project 6

The Portfolio page would have the Ditto calls to display the project item summaries.

OR... use a TV to specify the project’s category, and use filters in Ditto to organize them by their TVs.

Portfolio
Project 1 (TV value Option 1)
Project 2 (TV value Option 1)
Project 3 (TV value Option 2)
Project 4 (TV value Option 2)
etc...
