Using a chunk for TemplateVariable options

A while back someone had mentioned to me that you could create a drop down list type TV and create a chunk to hold the options. So that your "Input Option Values:" field just calls the chunk i.e. "Input Option Values: [[$MyInputOptions]]

I’ve tried this and it does not work [for me]

Can anyone set me straight on how this is done correctly?

I think putting this in the Input Options Value field should do it (assuming that your chunk is copacetic):
