I receive about 800 email news releases with a photo each day. I want them to post automagically off of the email received.
Is MODx able to handle something like this? I have about 40,000 posts to a wordpress blog now, but my new host (godaddy) can’t handle the load that the email post function gives it.
What add-ons do I need?

40,000 documents would be well beyond the capabilities of the current release of MODx (things get ugly after about 5,000). MODx 2.0 Revolution (currently in alpha) would be a better bet but even then 40,000 docs is going to strain any CMS.
A custom solution where the incoming emails are appended to a file (one file for each day) and that file is parsed for display might be a solution. It’s certainly doable in MODx but nothing out of the box is going to handle that in any CMS I know of.
Someone else might have a better answer for you.
