Blogging, a few questions

I’m working on a website for myself and i have my homepage.

on this homepage i want to load the content of 3 documents into that page.
but i want to only load the 3 latest documents i added in to my website.

is there an easy way to get this done?
i think not but if anyone could help me with it, it would be nice.

Use Ditto for this. The nettuts tutorial has a description of how to do this. Basically set the parent of the nesw section, tell Ditto to diplay 3 articles and sort by publish date descending so that you get the most recent:
