All Caps?

i renamed my resources with all caps, but my menu is proper-case.

how can i get all caps?

ps, tried to contact author on his contact page, but contact form just kept reloading with a different captcha. could not tell if it was going through or not, but thought i typed captcha correctly every time!

I think the best way to do that is in your css. Target your menu element and use text-transform.

but, i consider that a flaw in wayfinder, it should match my titles ExAcTlY and pReCiSeLy. wayfinder is Changing My Title Case.

this also complicates matter for me, because i don’t want ALL my titles to be all caps, therefor i must deal with wayfinder’s ’top-level’ parameters and such. grr.

Not sure I would consider it a Wayfinder flaw. The whole idea is to separate content from presentation. Caps, fonts, etc. and such are part of the presentation layer, which is the job of CSS. Wayfinder’s job is to output raw content, and CSS’s job is to "style" the presentation of that raw output. I am sure there are other workarounds for your specific needs but ideally presentation should all be handled by CSS

Wayfinder uses the Menu Title by default, not the Page Title. You can change that in its parameters.

strangely, after clearing my browser cache, wayfinder is matching the all caps of my non-homepage Titles, even though their Menu Title field is blank.

yet, it’s displaying my Home page in Proper Case, even though both its Title and its Menu Title fields are ALL CAPS.

seems inconsistent.

some might argue that the difference between "A" and "a" is not presentation, and could be considered content, since they are two different ascii codes, and also because it would make my life easier. iF i WaNt My tItLeS tO bE mIxEd cAsE, that would be impossible if wayfinder did not match my case, and could not be achieved with any sane css.

Wayfinder by default takes your menu title from the, well, Menu Title field.
If there is nothing in Menu Title, then it will take the title from Pagetitle.

Unless you’ve added some kind of output filter, it will absolutely not change the case of your title text. It will output exactly what you have entered and you have complete control over that.

If you are using one of the latest versions of Revolution a caching issue has been identified - Wayfinder is sometimes still loading from the cached version even after changes have been made. I imagine that will be sorted very soon but for now try clearing the site cache (not browser cache) and calling Wayfinder uncached while you are developing.

Doesn’t the exclamation point in the wayfinder tag force it to load uncached?

It should, yes, but it seems sometimes this is not happening. More on that here if you are interested.
