Wayfinder caching issues

Hi,

seems like I’m having trouble with the Wayfinder snippet and the caching system. Check out this Github issue https://github.com/splittingred/Wayfinder/issues/27.

I’m using MODx Revolution 2.1 RC3 and the latest Wayfinder version. I’ve set my Wayfinder to hide submenus. When I want to remove a page in the Manager system, the page is succesfully removed at the back-end, but not at the front-end! I have to clear cache manually a couple of times in order to get rid of the page on the site.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I have the same problem when removing or adding a page, it does not update at the front-end.
Clearing the cache in the manager doesn’t work for me, I have to remove Wayfinder from my template, paste it back in and then changes are visible at the front-end.

Im having a cache issue as well with Revo 2.1 RC 3. Seems to be a wayfinder related cache issue. Here’s my call: [[!Wayfinder? &startItemTpl=`startItemTpl` &startId=`0`&level=`3` &displayStart=`true` ]]

I’ll make updates to my resource tree which only seem to be reflected after I go into the cache folder via FTP and delete the cache files. Is this a 2.1 bug?

You could report this on Github as well, perhaps it’ll get picked up for a bugfix

Could you tell me what was the issue for your case then? I am having the same issue here on one of three sites (each site is on different server) running on Modx 2.1.3 and had to rev back that site to 2.0.8. So this must be clearly due to something on that site. (Apache/2.2.9 (Debian) PHP/5.3.3-7, MySQL 5.1.49 )


On this site, adding or removing resources does not reflect on the frond end menu. I need to manuallly empty cache folders to force the change.
I was also seeing these error message when trying to clear cache from the manager. Not sure if this is related.

Error caching time of next auto publishing event
Could not cache system settings.
Could not cache context settings for web.
Could not cache context settings for mgr.
