Wayfinder ignores Template Variable Output Type, ie Image

Did Wayfinder stop supporting TV output types at some point in the past six months? As hinted here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=53528.0

I updated Wayfinder to 2.3.0 today after not updating since my initial install like six months ago (package management said I was up to date--different issue).

Story short, it tore me a new one. All the image TVs I had being called within rowTpl and innerRowTpl etc., regressed to the text link to the image. Tags, classes, etc., that normally get generated with the Image output type were all gone.

I rewrote the Wayfinder calls to fix the problem, thankfully no big deal. I just want to know if Wayfinder will no longer treat TV output type going forward or this is some kind of bug that might get fixed. Just so I know in the event I update again.

I should also note that I added a new context with a hack in the index.php to allow multidomain. Not sure how that would affect things though, especially since Wayfinder is only called in the original context thus far. No other changes were made.

On a random note I also noticed bad behavior from another snippet package at about the same time, ’If’, which was doing it’s job but adding `] to the end of any output. Very odd and most likely unrelated. Wrote my own snippet to replace its function...

Same using the getResources snippet. The template variable is output without wrapping it into an img tag. So the issue seems to apply to other snippets as well and maybe the snippets have to do something special to render the output.

MODX 2.1.0-pl should be released soon, so these problems may be fixed in that release. I know there are some commits related to TVs.

I just realized that with getResources there is a processTVs parameter which need to be set to enable output processing.

Also the WayFinder documentation clearly states

As of this writing, only the raw TV value will be returned: it will not be formatted. E.g. if your TV is an image, normal use of the TV inside your template would return the full image tag, but inside of a WayFinder tpl, only the path to the image will be returned.

So WayFinder is not able to do output processing at this stage.
