question about 2 wayfinder

I have a question: let’s say I have 2 menu bar inside a website: one is link to A, B, C, D, E and the other one is linked to f and G. I found that if I use the basic wayfinder, [[Wayfinder?&startId=`0` &level=`1`], the first nav bar will link to A to G. how to set it up so I could only link from a to E only in the first bar?

There are several ways you could do that.

I would put F and G in a separate container resource which container resource is either unpublished or at least not shown in the menu (or if those two resources could logically be contained by one of the first A-G resources put them under it). Then the first Wayfinder call would be as you posted, and the second would be the same except the startId value would be that of the container resource.

Create a new resource. Either leave it unpublished, or clear the Show in Menu checkbox (so it won’t show up in your main menu). Move F and G into the new resource. Right-click on them to open their context menu, select Move Resource, and when the prompt ask you to, click on the new resource. Or, open F and G for editing and change their Parent. The Wayfinder call for displaying them in the secondary menu will need to use the container resource as the startId.

I follow what you said and create a static resources in resources tab. is it necessary for me to give a name to the resources?

let’s say the static resources is no.52. so I change the [[Wayfinder?&startId=`0` &level=`1`] to [[Wayfinder?&startId=`52` &level=`1`] ?

No, it will never be used to generate a web page, it’s just there for organizational purposes. You’ll probably want to give it a pagetitle to show in the Resource Tree so you know what it it, though. [[Wayfinder? &startId=`52` &level=`1`]] will do just fine.
