I’m working on a MODx Revo 2.0.8 site which will have a blog with multiple authors and multiple specific topics, delineated by specific tags.
How can I make menu items in Wayfinder which correspond to things like:
top-level menu item blog, all entries -- permits reading everything, can see author names and tags to drill down more
hit ths blog page, see the above AND these menu items
blog, topic a (tag a plus whatever other tags)
blog, topic b (tag b plus whatever other tags)
blog entries may contain both tags and appear therein...
blog, author X -- only this author’s entries regardless of tags or topic etc.
blog, author Y
variations of this concept also invited...

That’s what tagging is for; you would use Ditto or getResources depending on your version of MODx to generate the menus.
I understand your comment about tagging.
How do I make Wayfinder recognize tagged items as something that should be grouped together, referenced as a MENU ITEM??
In Wayfinder so the tag-based menu item is auto-generated??

Wayfinder doesn’t. That’s why I mentioned Ditto (for Evo) and getResources and its friends for Revo.
Ohhhhh...that was not obvious to me from the way you answered...
So I must do a getresources call to pull and list all the resources as a "menu"??
That’s unfortunate...I have found getResources docs could use quite a bit (a lot) of improvement...
