Wayfinder, UltimateParent and startId under Revolution

Try this:

[[!Wayfinder? &startId=`[[UltimateParent? &topLevel=`0`]]` &hideSubMenus=`true` &hereClass=`active`]]

You can change the &topLevel value to what you want

Hi,

Thnaks for your reply. It didn’t work for me unfortunately.
Is &topLevel the level the menu should start on?
I have tried the &topLevel at `1`,`2` and `3` and each time all menu items display rather than just the levels below the top level:

Anything else i could try?

Try both cached?

Revolution parses recursively so you don’t have to use weird cache/uncached combinations.

Also, try putting the ultimateparent snippet call on the page normally, and see what it outputs.

The following Wayfinder call will display a submenu of the immediate children of the document:

[[!Wayfinder? 
  &startId=`[[UltimateParent? &top=`[[*parent]]`]]`

I actually got it to work with the following:
[[!Wayfinder? &startId=`[[UltimateParent? &topLevel=`1`]]` &outerTpl=`wfInner` &rowTpl=`wfRow` &innerTpl=`wfInner-side` &innerRowTpl=`wfInnerRow` &hereClass=`active` &firstClass=`` &lastClass =`` ]]

You see the difference between the two ways of defining the [tt]&startId[/tt] if you use it in the same template for pages on different levels:

&startId=`[[UltimateParent? &top=`[[*parent]]`]]`

In this case every page will display a submenu of just one level (the next one down in the tree, showing the "children" of the page).

&startId=`[[UltimateParent? &topLevel=`1`]]`

Here, depending on its level, a page will show more than one submenu, starting always with the same upper level and going down to its immediate children.
