Top Menu & Column List

By all means i have absolute no understanding of coding just trial and error

I have two column css template.

Using following wayfinder to populate top menu (which contains 0-6 menu index resource documents)

in Sidebar column i used the same wayfinder but changed the start id greater than 6 so any new resource document with menu index 7 or higher would get listed in side column with following wayfinder via sidebar chunk

my understanding was Top menu will have links from menu 1-6 and wayfinder in my sidebar chunk would allow to catch 7 and higher and display in sidebar column.

How can i achieve this

Set the resources you want to show in the top to not show in the menu, then tell Wayfinder to limit to 6 and to ignore the show in menu setting.

The second menu would, as usual, only display those that are set to show in menu.

Both would startId at 0; this tells Wayfinder what resource to use as the parent to build the menu from.
