Slashes dividing nav items - How to make them static (not change on rollover)

I’m sure there’s a way to do this in Wayfinder. Anyone know?

I have a main nav which the designer has asked for the slashes (between each nav item)to remain the same colour when you rollover the items in the nav. So the desired appearance is a horizontal nav list with items separated with slashes. The slashes do not change once you rollover the nav items.

Is there some container css that I call in the wayfinder script to puts a slashes after each <li> link?

I once did a similar menubar, but using vertical lines as separators instead of slashes.
The <li> elements got the style [tt]border-left: 1px solid black;[/tt] .
To get rid of the line at the left of the first item I used the [tt]&firstClass[/tt] parameter with
[tt]border-left: 0;[/tt] .

If your client insists on slashes, using a [tt]background-image[/tt] would be a good way.
You also can avoid the leftmost slash using [tt]&firstClass[/tt] with [tt]background-image: none;[/tt] .

So i give the <li> a background image of a slash and position it left and add a bit of left padding? yeah?
